Position Overview

The Peaceful Perspective Life Coaching Center is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to enhance our team of mental health professionals. This full-time remote position plays a critical role in delivering therapeutic services that foster emotional and relational well-being among individuals, couples, and families. The successful candidate will engage with clients through evidence-based practices, helping them navigate challenges in their personal and family lives to achieve healthier relationships and improved mental health.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough initial assessments to ascertain clients' therapeutic needs and collaboratively develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Deliver individual, couples, and family therapy sessions via telehealth platforms, employing evidence-based interventions tailored to each client's situation.
  • Engage in collaborative case discussions with other mental health professionals, including psychologists and psychiatrists, ensuring a unified approach to client care.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of client progress, treatment plans, and other necessary records in compliance with organizational policies and HIPAA regulations.
  • Participate in ongoing clinical supervision and attend training sessions to enhance therapeutic skills and knowledge of best practices.
  • Stay current with developments and trends in the field of marriage and family therapy through research and continual education.
  • Uphold ethical standards and safeguard client confidentiality in accordance with legal requirements and our organization's policies.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The LMFT will primarily serve a diverse clientele that includes individuals seeking guidance on mental health challenges, couples improving communication and intimacy, and families navigating life transitions. Many of our clients may face issues related to stress, anxiety, depression, addiction, trauma, and relationship conflicts. Your expertise will empower them to address underlying issues, enhance relational dynamics, and cultivate healthier coping strategies.

Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Social Work from a recognized and accredited institution.
  • Possession of a valid LMFT license in the state of New York.
  • A minimum of one year of clinical experience in a therapeutic setting, focusing on marital and family therapy.
  • Proficient understanding of solution-focused therapies and evidence-based interventions.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and foster strong therapeutic alliances.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset, welcoming input from supervisory staff and colleagues.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in addressing substance use disorders within family systems therapy.
  • Familiarity with various telehealth platforms and technology for effective remote service delivery.
  • Training or experience in trauma-informed care models.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $115,000 to $130,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
