• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions aimed at addressing various mental health issues and fostering resilience.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to provide coordinated and effective patient care.
• Provide immediate crisis intervention for clients facing mental health emergencies, using strategies that prioritize safety and support.

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Thrive Wellness, you will work with a richly diverse patient population. This includes individuals from various ethnic backgrounds, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and re-settling immigrants, each bringing unique life stories and experiences. Your culturally competent approach will be instrumental in ensuring equitable access to mental health care for all clients, making a tangible impact on their well-being.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in Virginia.
• A profound understanding of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment methods, with an emphasis on cultural competence.
• Experience providing individual and group therapy, employing inclusive methodologies and practices.
• Strong crisis intervention skills, with the ability to respond calmly and effectively in high-stress situations.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills that facilitate relationship-building with a diverse range of clients.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant computer applications.
• A commitment to ethical practices, confidentiality, and professional boundaries.
• Capacity for effective collaboration within a multidisciplinary team to support shared patient outcomes.

• Prior experience in a telehealth setting or delivering remote therapy services is advantageous.
• Additional training or certifications in specialized areas of mental health, such as trauma, substance abuse, or child psychology, would be beneficial.
