Job description

The Director of Sales Engineering & Effectiveness [“SEE”] oversees all aspects of the sales engineering, sales effectiveness, solution design, deal support & VBC capital administration.  The Director is responsible for enhancing the company’s position with prospects & partners, solidifying our value proposition, plus market position of the company.  The Director’s SEE team provides a critical set of capabilities for Growth to target & win higher value practices / LUM to maximize future revenues for providers & Aledade alike.  


This includes leading a team of SMEs in data analytics, payments, financial modeling, value calculations, deal desk operations, contracting, process documentation & case resolution.  The Director develops playbooks for these functions, overseeing onboarding & upskilling of SMEs on the team. 

This leader is a strong operator & manager of SMEs foremost, able to run cross-functional weekly meetings, performance reviews, plus manage special projects & deliverables for executives, particularly GEL(“Growth Executive Leadership” team) & Glue. Additionally, the Director will coordinate SME participation in external prospect & client facing meetings, both remote & on-site, to maximize impact & progress deals in pipeline.  The Director will also need to effectively counsel Aledade’s senior sales talent & leadership complex deals / named accounts.  


The Director will work closely with GEL to drive key analysis, lean reporting & processes from a team of SMEs to maximize operational leverage of the Growth Organization.  The Director anticipates what strategic insights & modeling are required for Growth to increase productivity to meet the company’s aggressive growth trajectory, documented in KR commitments.

Primary Duties:
  1. Strategic Opportunity Identification Sourcing and Planning - this includes: Setting Strategy and Direction for directing the work of the team to identify & curate potential health system, IPA, Switcher and network targets to support initiatives for hitting the Growth Goal. The Director will lead, coordinate and assign Deal support / customization for key accounts to the Sales Engineers; collaborate with Marketing team to inform segment specific campaigns and share learnings; evaluating ACO performance and assessing ROI and sales performance of initiatives using Salesforce CRM and other workflow and analytical tools. 

  1. The Director will also be accountable to identify and lead the strategic initiatives based on market events and competitive intel to position Aledade as the best option including but not limited to talking points, data analysis and targeting for the Sales team.   

  1. Establish, monitor, and enforce rigorous SLAs for complex deal modeling while driving a self-service model for standard market opportunities. Direct the internal SEE roadmap to pioneer tool enhancements, automate data-model workflows, and optimize user experience.

  1. Hire, coach, develop and mentor a team of 3+ SMEs as outlined above to ensure they are supporting the Growth organization.

  2. Attend cross functional team meetings with GLT to ensure collaboration and teamwork.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree

  • 10+ years of progressive working experience

  • 5+ of relevant sales, operations and/or sales management experience working in healthcare and with healthcare providers

Preferred knowledge, skills, and/or abilities:
  • Experience evaluating product/market situations and analyzing raw data and information, transforming it into actionable sales strategies and approaches

  • Proven ability to identify, position, develop, lead and retain multiple levels of experience, talented people who are focused on rapid speed of growth and flawless execution of strategy.

  • Proven track record of success as a sales leader exemplified by national rankings 

  • Salesforce expertise; proficiency with Google Suite of Products

  • Familiarity with Value-Based Care

Physical Requirements:
  • Sitting for prolonged periods of time. Extensive use of computers and keyboard. Occasional walking and lifting may be required.

  • Willing to travel by car or plane as needed up to 10%
