• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for elderly clients, ensuring a personalized approach to identifying their specific care needs.
• Facilitate both individual and group counseling sessions, addressing emotional challenges such as anxiety, depression, and grief associated with aging and life transitions.
• Provide educational seminars and workshops for families and caregivers, equipping them with strategies to enhance the emotional well-being and quality of life for their loved ones.
• Support clients and their families through grief and loss counseling, guiding them as they confront end-of-life issues and navigate complex emotions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians and social workers, to devise comprehensive care plans that promote holistic healing and well-being.

This position will focus primarily on the senior population, often grappling with multiple challenges such as loss of loved ones, health deterioration, and isolation. Given the unique experiences of our clients, the LMHC will be attentive to their emotional needs and be prepared to use evidence-based practices to facilitate mental and emotional fortitude.

• A valid Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, Clinical Psychology, or a related field.
• Completion of a full-time clinical internship in a recognized mental health setting is required.
• The candidate must be license-eligible as per state requirements with a valid driver’s license in good standing.
• Outstanding communication skills that enable the establishment of trust and rapport with clients quickly.
• Ability to be an empathetic listener while still providing constructive guidance towards emotional healing.
• Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail, especially in maintaining client records and session notes.

• Demonstrated experience in addiction counseling is highly desirable.
• Experience working with elderly clients, particularly in community health or clinical settings.
• Familiarity with virtual counseling platforms and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
