In your role as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will:

• Conduct in-depth assessments of clients to identify their substance abuse history, mental health concerns, and treatment goals using standardized screening tools.
• Design and implement personalized treatment plans that target both addiction issues and co-occurring mental health conditions, adapting interventions based on client progress.
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based methodologies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI) to inspire change.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary treatment team to ensure integrated care to enhance client outcomes, regularly participating in team meetings to discuss client progress and adjust treatment as necessary.
• Educate clients' families about addiction, treatment options, and recovery processes to foster a supportive network that enhances overall client recovery.
• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation of client interactions and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and ethical standards.

You will primarily work with individuals experiencing substance use disorders, many of whom may also face co-occurring mental health diagnoses such as anxiety, depression, or trauma-related disorders. Your role will directly influence their ability to achieve long-term sobriety and improved mental health, making your contributions vital to their rehabilitation journey.

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess:

• A current and valid license (LMFT, LICSW, LMHC, or Psychologist) to practice in the state of Washington.
• A Bachelor’s degree, with preference given to candidates holding a Master's degree or Doctorate in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
• Specialized training or experience focused on addiction counseling, demonstrating knowledge of substance abuse treatment best practices.

While a minimum of two years of direct experience in mental health counseling is required, candidates with additional experience in substance abuse treatment or co-occurring disorders will be given preference. Familiarity with community resources available to clients in Spokane is beneficial.

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 85,000 annually, which is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
