Job description

The Role
The Outside Sales Engineer will drive sales growth in North America, with a particular focus on high-growth market sectors, including Semiconductor manufacturing and related technologies.

As the Outside Sales Engineer, you will support all aspects of the sales process, from qualifying new customers to cultivating relationships with existing customers and generating sales opportunities for our products, systems, and services. This role partners closely with internal engineering and operations teams to deliver technically sound, application-appropriate solutions for complex customer environments.
This role is fully remote and west coast location is preferred.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Utilize strong communication and networking skills to nurture customer relationships and drive sales growth across assigned accounts, including Semiconductor manufacturers, OEMs, and supporting infrastructure partners.
  • Identify emerging trends, customer needs, and technology developments within the Semiconductor market, translating them into actionable sales opportunities.
  • Develop proposals and technical solutions, including performing basic thermal calculations to determine proper heating requirements for Semiconductor and industrial applications.
  • Support and promote electric thermal solutions appropriate for Semiconductor processes, working collaboratively with application engineering to define scope and requirements.
  • Efficiently manage and process all aspects of the order cycle, including order entry, approval drawings, and material return authorizations.
  • Assist with reclaiming previous business while managing and growing sales within a defined customer list.
  • Track, manage, and advance opportunities through the CRM system, monitoring sales performance and bookings for assigned accounts.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, operations, and supply chain) to support project-based sales and multi-stakeholder customer engagements.
  • Develop and nurture a creative, solution-oriented approach to business development in competitive and technically demanding environments.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings to build awareness of solutions and establish relationships with key contacts across Semiconductor and industrial markets.
  • Travel within the assigned territory as required to support customer engagement and project execution.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in outside sales, technical sales, or a related service-oriented industry; experience supporting Semiconductor customers is a plus.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering preferred; other relevant technical degrees considered.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and communicate technical concepts, specifications, and drawings in a customer-facing environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively and resolve project-related challenges in a timely manner.
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally to meet customer needs, project timelines, and sales objectives.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a strong sense of urgency and the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
  • Excellent organization, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned region to support customer relationships and project activity.
  • Experience selling into Semiconductor manufacturing environments, including cleanroom or process-critical applications, is a plus.

Pay Rate: 114,000 - 130,000 base, variable pay and car allowance.
