The Test Engineering Manager is responsible for leading a team focused on developing digital, analog, mixed-signal, and automated semiconductor test solutions while supporting ongoing manufacturing operations. This leadership role drives test capability development, yield improvements, cost reductions, cycle time optimization, and technical team development to support business and customer objectives Client Details My client is a leading semiconductor technology organization supporting highly reliable electronic products for demanding commercial, industrial, and government applications. Description Lead and develop a team of test engineers, product engineers, and technicians. Recruit, mentor, train, and evaluate engineering personnel. Oversee development of new semiconductor test and burn-in capabilities. Lead test development projects including characterization, validation, and failure analysis. Establish test methodologies, procedures, and documentation standards. Drive yield improvement, cycle time reduction, cost optimization, and quality initiatives. Define long-term test technology, equipment, and capability roadmaps. Manage multiple engineering projects and monitor performance against objectives. Review technical work for accuracy, compliance, and quality standards. Support manufacturing operations through sustained engineering activities. Collaborate with customers on technical requirements and test solutions. Partner with sales, manufacturing, quality, and customer support teams. Evaluate emerging test technologies, equipment, and industry trends. Develop departmental policies, procedures, and best practices. Manage departmental budgets, expenditures, and resource planning. Present technical findings, project updates, and strategic recommendations to leadership. Work closely with suppliers and equipment vendors to support operational goals. Profile A successful Test Engineering Manager should have: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline. 10+ years of electrical or semiconductor test engineering experience. 5+ years of engineering leadership and project management experience. Expertise in analog, digital, memory, and mixed-signal test methodologies. Strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing, quality, and reliability principles. Experience with Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and associated technologies. Proven ability to lead technical teams and complex engineering programs. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities. Excellent project management and organizational skills. Experience working directly with customers and cross-functional teams. Strong communication and presentation skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and engineering software tools.
