They play a crucial role in the agriculture and seed production industries by ensuring seeds meet specific standards for germination, purity, and health. Their responsibilities may include conducting virtual inspections, running tests on seed samples sent by mail, compiling reports, and collaborating with plant breeders and farmers. This role allows companies to access expert seed analysis regardless of geographic location, increasing efficiency and access to specialized knowledge. Remote Seed Technologists often require a background in plant science, agriculture, or a related field, along with strong analytical and communication skills.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Remote Seed Technologist, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Seed Technologist, you need a solid background in plant biology or agronomy, experience in seed testing, and typically a relevant degree or certification in seed technology. Job description

Step into the first dedicated fulfillment and supply chain seat at a seed-funded health tech startup scaling global sales and new product lines.

Role Snapshot
  • Role: Head of Fulfillment & Supply Chain
  • Pay: $150K-$180K base + equity + benefits
  • Location: Austin, TX strongly preferred; Dallas or Houston OK
  • Work Type: Texas-based, mostly remote with monthly Austin meetings
  • Schedule: Full-time startup role with high ownership

Our client is a seed-funded, hardware-enabled health technology startup building a B2B2C platform across wearable devices, biometric data, and enterprise software.

This is not a people-management layer. You will own the work directly. Today, parts of the operation still run through Google Sheets. The next step is a real ERP backbone, cleaner fulfillment workflows, stronger supplier control, and QMS discipline.

What You'll Do
  • Build fulfillment and supply chain structure from messy workflows
  • Own B2B2C fulfillment across client centers and drop-shipping
  • Move operations from Google Sheets into ERP workflows
  • Set up and execute end-to-end ERP processes
  • Manage global suppliers, pricing, BOMs, and negotiations
  • Improve inventory visibility, billing handoffs, and delivery tracking
  • Establish stronger QMS structure before scale creates risk
Must-Haves
  • 7+ years in supply chain, fulfillment, logistics, or ops
  • Hardware, electronics, wearables, IoT, or physical product experience
  • Hands-on ERP or inventory systems experience
  • Drop-shipping or multi-channel fulfillment experience
  • Global supplier management experience
  • BOM-level pricing, cost, and negotiation experience
  • Able to work independently without heavy guidance
  • Comfortable fixing spreadsheets, systems, vendors, and shipment issues
Nice to Have
  • QMS, FDA, ISO, or regulated-product exposure
  • Medical device, diagnostics, or health tech hardware experience
  • APICS CPIM, CSCP, or CLTD
  • Lean Six Sigma or PMP certification
Perks & Pay
  • Pay: $150K-$180K base
  • Equity tied to company growth
  • Medical, dental, vision, and PTO
  • 401(k) eligibility after 120 days
  • Company-provided computer and core tools
Schedule & Setup
  • Austin, TX strongly preferred
  • Dallas or Houston considered
  • Texas location is highly preferred
  • Mostly remote day-to-day
  • Monthly in-person team meetings in Austin
  • W-2, full-time role
Impact & Growth

The company is scaling global and domestic sales while adding a new product line.

Your work turns manual fulfillment, supplier, ERP, and inventory workflows into a repeatable operating system. You will reduce stockouts, delivery delays, vendor confusion, billing misses, and fulfillment risk.

Motivation Fit

You like building structure without waiting for a playbook.

You can move from ERP design to vendor follow-up, BOM pricing, shipment issues, and inventory cleanup without ego. This is a low-guidance, high-accountability seat. Managers who only delegate are not a fit.

At Urrly, fairness matters. We use AI to review every application against the same clear requirements for the role. This means every candidate is evaluated on job-related factors like skills, certifications, and experiencenot on personal attributes such as gender, race, age, or background.
