• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify the mental health needs of students and collaboratively develop tailored treatment plans.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and group therapy sessions for individuals and families.
• Collaborate closely with school administrators, teachers, and case managers, ensuring a cohesive approach to student mental health care.
• Offer crisis intervention strategies and support to students experiencing acute distress, proactively addressing safety concerns and emotional crises.
• Engage in community outreach efforts, facilitating mental health educational initiatives that raise awareness and reduce stigma within the school community.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all sessions and interactions in accordance with organizational policies and state regulations.

In this role, you will serve a diverse population of students within the Rochester area. You will work with children and adolescents who may be dealing with issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, interpersonal conflicts, and academic challenges. This experience will significantly enhance your clinical skills and cultural competence, allowing you to effectively address the specific mental health needs of varied demographic groups.

• An active and independent license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A completed master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, crucial for building rapport and establishing trust with students and their families.
• Demonstrated cultural competence and adaptability in working with a varied clientele, ensuring all students feel understood and supported.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities, essential for effective documentation and case management.

• Experience working in a school setting or with children and adolescents is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with teletherapy tools and practices, enhancing the remote therapy experience for clients.
• Engagement in community mental health initiatives or advocacy work, particularly with youth-focused programs.
