• Establish and maintain a trusting rapport with patients through empathetic and effective communication techniques.
• Conduct thorough assessments to diagnose mental health disorders, ensuring accurate treatment protocols.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that cater specifically to the needs and circumstances of each patient.
• Engage in regular therapeutic sessions with clients, adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on ongoing evaluations.
• Utilize evidence-based practices throughout treatment, leveraging methodologies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Family Systems Therapy.
• Document and monitor patient progress through timely completion of assessments, progress notes, and treatment documentation within electronic health records.
• Provide referrals to specialists or additional resources as necessary for comprehensive patient care.

Our therapists will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients, including teenagers experiencing anxiety and depression, adults seeking relationship counseling, and families aiming to improve communication dynamics. A commitment to cultural competence is essential, as you will be addressing varying backgrounds, beliefs, and experiences that impact mental health and family dynamics.

• A Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field.
• Active licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of New York.
• Demonstrated experience in providing individual and/or couples therapy.
• A strong foundation in working with children and/or adults in therapeutic settings.
• Exceptional organizational skills, including the ability to complete client assessments and treatment plans punctually.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as proficiency in electronic health record systems.

• Prior experience in outpatient settings is preferred.
• Familiarity with teletherapy practices and digital therapeutic tools.
• Specialization in specific therapeutic modalities is a plus, such as trauma-informed care or play therapy.
