Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive intake assessments and identify the needs and goals of clients, formulating individualized treatment plans accordingly.
• Utilize the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM) of Mental Disorders to create tailored treatment strategies and employ clinically appropriate interventions.
• Support clients through evidence-based counseling methods, aimed at addressing high-risk behaviors, personal growth, and wellness initiatives.
• Engage clients in individual, group, or family therapy sessions, adapting your approach to meet the diverse cultural and personal needs of each client.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to enhance the effectiveness of counseling interventions and improved outcomes for our clients.
• Maintain diligent clinical documentation and manage client data using relevant software applications while ensuring compliance with confidentiality standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position allows you to work with a broad spectrum of age groups, including adults, children, and adolescents. You will engage with clients experiencing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral issues, ensuring that all treatment approaches are rooted in respect for their unique cultural backgrounds and life experiences.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field.
• Current independent licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) within the state of New York.
• Demonstrated experience working with diverse populations, including adults, children, and adolescents.
• Proximity to North Babylon, NY, is required for collaboration with the clinic and team members.
• Possession of strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team.
• Competency in telehealth service delivery and familiarity with relevant documentation software.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is competitive at USD 91,000 to USD 104,000 annually, with additional performance bonuses available.
