Job Summary

The Supply Chain Reporting Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting enterprise reporting solutions across both legacy and modern analytics platforms. This role serves as a critical bridge between existing SQL Server-based reporting environments and the organization's evolving Snowflake data platform, ensuring continuity of business reporting while advancing modernization efforts.
The ideal candidate possesses deep SQL development expertise, strong data modeling skills, and hands-on experience working with Snowflake to deliver scalable reporting and analytics solutions for sourcing, procurement, supplier performance, inventory, and supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • SQL Reporting Development (Primary Focus)
  • Develop and maintain ETL processes using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
  • Support analytical modeling using SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) cubes.    
  • Design, develop, optimize, and support complex SQL-based reporting solutions. 
  • Maintain and enhance existing operational and analytical reports built on SQL Server environments. 
  • Develop stored procedures, views, and reporting datasets to support business requirements. 
  • Troubleshoot reporting issues and optimize query performance across large datasets. 
  • Partner with business stakeholders to validate reporting logic and KPI calculations. 
  • Snowflake Analytics Development
  • Write and optimize queries using SnowSQL for efficient data transformation and reporting.
  • Implement and manage data transformation pipelines using dbt (data build tool) to create modular, testable, and reusable data models.
  • Use GitHub for version control and collaboration, enabling CI/CD workflows and code management.
  • Build and maintain reporting-ready datasets within Snowflake. 
  • Develop and support dimensional models and curated data products for supply chain analytics. 
  • Collaborate with Data Engineers and Analytics Engineers to establish reporting best practices. 
  • Support migration and modernization of reporting assets from legacy platforms to Snowflake. 
  • Optimize Snowflake performance, cost efficiency, and query design. 
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of SQL development experience in enterprise reporting environments. 
  • Advanced SQL skills including: 
  • Complex joins 
  • Window functions 
  • CTEs 
  • Query optimization 
  • Stored procedures 
  • Performance tuning 
  • 2+ years of Snowflake experience. 
  • Experience supporting operational and executive reporting solutions. 
  • Experience designing analytical datasets and reporting models. 
  • Experience working with procurement, supply chain, sourcing, inventory, logistics, or related operational data. 
  • Strong stakeholder management and requirements gathering skills.
