Description

The Opportunity Reports to the IT infrastructure Manager, this position is focused on ensuring that all areas of Database operation function smoothly. This position includes rotational weekend support and after/before standard office hours to ensure department coverage (7am/7pm). Key Areas of Responsibility โ€ข To provide support of Oracle/ SQL server/Cloud DB(Snowflake/Azure) management technology and its deployment/usage standards. โ€ข To support and maintain SQL scripts for Store Procedure and Database maintenance tasks. โ€ข To assist BI and development team database design, and SQL script creation/tuning. โ€ข To ensure that all Database environmental changes are appropriately tested and implemented in such a manner that there is no impact to integrated systems and clients. โ€ข To provide and maintain all Database documentation โ€ข Maintain Disaster Recovery Plan. โ€ข Maintain new and existing user profiles. โ€ข Maintain SOX Security Documentation. โ€ข Setup and configure all new Database. โ€ข Maintain, install, and upgrade Database patches. โ€ข Provide client services resolving issues and enhancement requests as they arise. โ€ข Performance tuning and troubleshoot database system including index/memory/cpu/space analyzing. โ€ข Highly skills and experience on Database CDC, cluster and replications. โ€ข Document all procedures in the operations folders. Include screen prints where applicable. Ensure that when a procedure changes that the documentation is updated in a reasonable fashion. โ€ข Organize and maintain software license inventories. โ€ข Enforce physical and network security policy. โ€ข Assist in maintenance and client setup of remote Database access connections. โ€ข Research projects as requested by the Infrastructure manager of IT. โ€ข Make recommendations, based on research and solution comparison for new technology acquisitions and enhancements. โ€ข Assist in the effective communication of upcoming planned and unplanned systems changes to users. โ€ข This position includes rotational and on call support to ensure departmental coverage outside of normal business hours including weekends. โ€ข Can also be broken down into areas if the role requires it as follows Key Relationships โ€ข Collaborate closely with the other Database Administrators and the other Infrastructure teams โ€ข Interact with team members at International sites relative to remote servers
