Job Title: AI Governance Coordinator Type: Contract Compensation: $44/HR Work Model: 100% Remote

Role Overview

Weโ€™re seeking a detail-driven AI Governance Coordinator to help operationalize our enterprise AI governance program. In this role, youโ€™ll partner closely with the AI Governance Lead to ensure AI use cases are properly reviewed, risk-assessed, documented, and tracked throughout their lifecycle.

This position plays a key role in managing intake, supporting governance tooling, coordinating mitigation efforts, and maintaining audit readinessโ€”ideal for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of technology, risk, and compliance.

What Youโ€™ll Do

  • Manage AI Use Cases: Maintain the use case registry, validate risk ratings, collect required documentation, and track mitigation actions through completion. Perform periodic reviews to ensure accuracy and audit readiness.
  • Support Intake & Governance Platform: Oversee intake, triage and route submissions, and track progress. Support governance platform operations, including data validation, workflow testing, and user onboarding.
  • Coordinate Risk & Gap Closure: Track assessment action items, follow up with stakeholders, and help document and close gaps, including maintaining audit-ready evidence.
  • Collaborate & Communicate: Partner with Risk, Compliance, Privacy, and Security teams; draft clear communications and reports; and support audit and regulatory requests.

What You Bring

Required

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Business, Information Systems, Risk Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3โ€“5 years of experience in business analysis, governance, risk, or compliance in a regulated environment
  • Experience supporting risk-related activities (e.g., risk assessments, AI/technology reviews, security or third-party assessments, privacy assessments, RCSAs)
  • Strong communication and writing skills, with the ability to produce audit-ready documentation
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders

Nice to Have

  • Experience with AI governance or AI risk management
  • Familiarity with frameworks like NIST AI RMF or ISO 42001
  • Exposure to healthcare or other highly regulated industries
  • Experience with GRC tools or AI governance platforms
  • Background supporting audits or regulatory reviews
