Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth, culturally sensitive mental health assessments to gain insight into clientsโ€™ unique experiences, needs, and goals.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to each patientโ€™s cultural and personal context.
  • Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions aimed at addressing specific mental health concerns and building resilience among clients.
  • Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to patient care.
  • Provide crisis intervention services and ongoing support to clients experiencing mental health emergencies.
  • Educate patients and their families about mental health issues, treatment options, and resources available in the community to support their journey.
  • Maintain comprehensive and confidential records in accordance with legal and ethical standards using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Actively engage in case conferences, team meetings, and dedicated cultural competency training to enhance service delivery.
  • Stay abreast of the latest research and best practices in mental health therapy to continuously improve the effectiveness of care provided.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Possession of a current and valid license as a Licensed Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LPC, LCSW) in the state of New Jersey.
  • Demonstrated expertise in understanding mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment methodologies, along with a strong commitment to culturally competent practice.
  • Proven experience in delivering individual and group therapy treatments, employing culturally responsive and inclusive techniques.
  • Excellent crisis intervention skills with the ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations.
  • Superior interpersonal and communication capabilities, with a proven track record of building rapport with a diverse clientele.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health record systems and various computer applications relevant to patient care.
