This position is fully remote, allowing you to work flexibly from the comfort of your own home while still engaging closely with our outpatient office team. • Conduct in-depth, culturally sensitive mental health assessments to gain insight into clients’ unique experiences, needs, and goals.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to each patient’s cultural and personal context.
• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions aimed at addressing specific mental health concerns and building resilience among clients.
• Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to patient care.
• Provide crisis intervention services and ongoing support to clients experiencing mental health emergencies.
• Educate patients and their families about mental health issues, treatment options, and resources available in the community to support their journey.
• Maintain comprehensive and confidential records in accordance with legal and ethical standards using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Actively engage in case conferences, team meetings, and dedicated cultural competency training to enhance service delivery.
• Stay abreast of the latest research and best practices in mental health therapy to continuously improve the effectiveness of care provided.

Our client base encompasses individuals from a variety of backgrounds, including marginalized communities such as ethnic minorities, the LGBTQ+ community, and immigrant families. As a mental health counselor, your work will focus on understanding their unique challenges and life experiences, fostering an inclusive approach to therapy that promotes healing and personal growth.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Possession of a current and valid license as a Licensed Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LPC, LCSW) in the state of New Jersey.
• Demonstrated expertise in understanding mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment methodologies, along with a strong commitment to culturally competent practice.
• Proven experience in delivering individual and group therapy treatments, employing culturally responsive and inclusive techniques.
• Excellent crisis intervention skills with the ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations.
• Superior interpersonal and communication capabilities, with a proven track record of building rapport with a diverse clientele.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems and various computer applications relevant to patient care.
• Strong commitment to ethical standards, professional boundaries, and patient confidentiality.
• Ability to effectively collaborate in a multidisciplinary team environment.

• Experience with teletherapy platforms and techniques to enhance remote patient interactions.
• Familiarity with community resources and services that can support client needs outside of therapy.
• Background in addressing the mental health concerns specific to culturally diverse populations.
