Position Overview

Self Care Learning Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our dynamic team in Denver, Colorado. Key Responsibilities
  • Establish a positive and trusting rapport with clients to create a safe therapeutic space.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose a variety of mental health disorders.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of each client, setting achievable goals and strategies.
  • Lead individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based interventions to facilitate healing and growth.
  • Monitor and assess client progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Provide clients with referrals to specialized services when required, ensuring they receive comprehensive support across all aspects of their mental health.
  • Document client interactions and treatment outcomes thoroughly and accurately using our designated electronic health record (EHR) system.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and case consultations to enhance collaborative care and continuous professional development.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As an LMFT at our center, you will work with a diverse client population, including individuals coping with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, and life transitions. Our approach is family-centered, emphasizing the importance of collaborative treatment to heal relational dynamics and support healthy development in various contexts. Therapy sessions will be designed to empower clients and encourage proactive approaches to their mental health challenges.

Qualifications
  • Active licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist in Colorado.
  • A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field is required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients from all backgrounds.
  • Proficient understanding of evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Solution-Focused Therapy.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience providing individual and group therapy in a clinical or outpatient setting.
  • Familiarity with teletherapy practices and proficiency in using digital platforms for client interaction.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle a full caseload while maintaining high standards of client care and documentation.
