Overview

How you can make a difference

The AVP, RM Client provides strategic leadership to a team of Account Executives, driving the growth of HealthEquity's Further account base and custodial assets with existing employer partners. This role champions strong client relationships, develops market-driven strategies, and ensures the team delivers consultative support and exceptional service. The AVP, RM Client also focuses on team development, cross-functional engagement, and advocating for both client and team needs.

What you'll be doing

  • Manages and carries out the personnel actions for direct reports, including but not limited to hiring and scheduling; training and evaluating; coaching and managing performance; making salary, merit, or other compensation recommendations for team of direct reports; and making recommendations and/or taking corrective or disciplinary action as appropriate.
  • Lead and support your team in achieving account and custodial assets growth within existing employer partnerships Guide your team in establishing and maintaining strong client relationships, including their client's consultant/broker, as well as other ecosystem vendor partners.
  • Provide strategic leadership to Account Executives in building business partnerships, analyzing market dynamics, and developing growth strategies, communicating these to the VP.
  • Serve as an escalation point for the team, advocating internally for employer partners, in partnership with the VP.
  • Oversee and guide the team on consultative strategic activities with employer partners (corporate/benefits strategies, plan reviews, CDH adoption, financial health, RFPs).
  • Support the team in developing and reporting for client financial performance including renewal planning, negotiation and profitability levels.
  • Ensure the team delivers exceptional service, support, and solutions to clients.
  • Share healthcare and client industry knowledge with the team. Proactively advocate for team member needs related to programs and products.
  • Collaborate with leaders across the business on cross-functional initiatives.
  • Actively participate in internal HealthEquity operational and leadership meetings to support our business.

What you will need to be successful

  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • Proven track record of over 8-10+ years of working with senior-level executives including but not limited to CHRO, CFO and EVP, SVP and VP Compensation and Benefits and retirement within the Insurance or Finance industry in the space
  • 8-10 years of strategic and consultative selling experience within the CDH, Insurance or Finance industry
  • Expert relationship management skills including negotiation, collaboration, and listening skills
  • Familiarity with Health Insurance Industry and all types Health Accounts
  • MS Office and Salesforce, preferred
  • Presentation Skills including messaging and positioning information to meet and influence client need
  • Proactive problem solving
  • Strong working knowledge of employer benefits framework and plan design
  • Proven leadership skills. Prior management experience preferred
  • Heavy travel may be required (more than 30%)

The actual compensation offer is determined based on job-related knowledge, education, skills, experience, and work location. Onboarding & Travel

This is a remote role, with an in-person onboarding training component. New team members must participate in Trailhead, HealthEquity's immersive onboarding experience Trailhead is designed to foster meaningful connections, support your integration into the organization, and equip you with a strong understanding of our business. Trailhead participation is a key expectation of this role. Trailhead is held onsite at our headquarters once per quarter. HealthEquity covers all required travel and accommodations. 

This role may begin with a virtual, self-paced onboarding experience, followed by a mandatory onsite Trailhead session at a later date.
