Regional Sales Manager

Northern California / Pacific Northwest Region
Remote (Field-Based)

We are seeking a driven Regional Sales Manager to expand our presence and strengthen distributor performance across the Northern California and Pacific Northwest territory.

Position Summary

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the performance of distributor partners within the assigned region. This role will drive revenue growth, expand market penetration, and ensure effective execution of sales strategies across Makino’s machine tool portfolio.

This position requires a strong combination of technical knowledge, distributor channel leadership, and strategic sales execution within manufacturing environments.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage distributor operations to maximize market coverage and sales performance
  • Develop and execute regional sales plans aligned with company objectives
  • Monitor distributor effectiveness and implement improvement strategies, including training and performance coaching
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Makino and distributor partners to drive alignment on sales strategy and execution
  • Drive new business development and increase market share across key manufacturing segments
  • Support distributors with customer visits, technical discussions, and solution-based selling
  • Coordinate with marketing, product management, and applications teams to execute targeted sales initiatives
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasting, pipeline tracking, and regional reporting
  • Monitor competitive activity and market trends within the territory
  • Lead and support training efforts to enhance distributor product knowledge and sales effectiveness

Qualifications
  • Strong ability to communicate effectively with both technical and executive-level stakeholders
