Job Title: Senior Systems Analyst (Power BI)
Location: Tallahassee, FL (Remote Eligible)
Duration: Approx. 15-month contract
Employment Type: Contract

We are hiring for the role of Senior Systems Analyst (Power BI). Below are the key details:

Role Overview
This role supports a large-scale financial systems modernization initiative. The analyst will lead efforts to transform financial reporting into actionable dashboards using Microsoft Power BI and enhance data structures to support enterprise decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
• Analyze data environments and structures prior to dashboard development
• Develop a reporting roadmap with leadership
• Improve existing financial reports based on business needs
• Automate data transformations and reduce reliance on Excel-based analysis
• Collaborate with database administrators to create views and stored procedures
• Create and manage Power BI dataflows
• Analyze financial data and recommend improvements to data models
• Administer Power BI dedicated workspace
• Train staff on Power BI reporting tools

Required Skills & Experience
• 2+ years of Business Intelligence experience
• 1+ year developing dashboards and reports in Microsoft Power BI
• Experience building dashboards and paginated reports in Power BI
• Strong SQL skills
• Knowledge of data governance best practices
• Familiarity with Data Warehousing, Data Lakes, Operational Data Stores, and Master Data Management
• Experience reporting on financial data (general ledger, purchasing, revenue)
• Understanding of OLAP cubes and Star/Snowflake schema
• Experience integrating Power BI with Power Automate, Power Apps, PowerPoint, and Teams
• Knowledge of SCRUM framework
• Ability to work with multiple data sources and business stakeholders

Preferred Skills
• Experience with ERP or financial systems
• Experience with WebFOCUS
• Knowledge of mainframe systems

Education
Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Finance, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
