Position Overview

Healing Reflection Counseling is seeking a dedicated and licensed Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LPC, LCSW) to provide comprehensive virtual counseling services. This full-time remote position involves facilitating mental health care from the comfort of your home, while delivering exceptional support to individuals seeking assistance with their mental health challenges.

Work Environment

This position is fully remote, allowing you to work from Newport News, Virginia, or any location that provides a suitable and uninterrupted environment for therapy. The hours of operation are Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, enabling a balanced work-life dynamic while serving a diverse clientele through telehealth modalities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct virtual counseling sessions with clients from various backgrounds, ensuring culturally competent treatment approaches.
  • Foster a trusting and supportive therapeutic relationship as a foundation for effective treatment.
  • Collaborate closely with clients to develop personalized treatment plans, adjusting them based on progress and changing needs.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology.
  • Current and active licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
  • Demonstrated experience in individual and group therapy, treatment planning, and delivering telehealth services.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
  • Proficiency with telehealth platforms and digital documentation systems to efficiently manage patient care.
Preferred Experience
  • At least two years of relevant experience in mental health counseling, particularly in a remote setting.
  • Familiarity with various therapeutic techniques and modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or mindfulness-based approaches, is preferred.
