Countyside Psychiatric Services is seeking a full-time Clinical Mental Health Therapist, licensed as an LCSW, LMFT, or LPC, to join our esteemed team in Richmond, Virginia. This remote position allows professionals to deliver impactful mental health services from the comfort of their homes while remaining part of a dynamic community health clinic.

Despite the virtual setting, interaction with colleagues and clients is emphasized through regular video conferencing and collaborative tools. The work hours are structured to accommodate a healthy work-life balance, with our operational schedule running Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

In this role, you will take on significant responsibilities that directly impact the well-being of our clients:

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients' emotional, psychological, and social needs to accurately evaluate the severity and duration of mood disorder symptoms.
• Develop individualized treatment and intervention plans in collaboration with clients, considering their unique experiences, preferences, and goals.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) tailored specifically to address mood disorders.
• Provide educational resources and support to clients and their families, empowering them with knowledge on mood disorders, treatment methods, and self-care strategies.
• Continuously monitor client progress within the treatment process, adjusting plans as needed based on ongoing assessments and feedback.
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to deliver a holistic and integrated treatment approach for clients.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of advancements in mental health treatment relevant to mood disorders, adapting your practices accordingly.
• Ensure accurate and confidential documentation of all client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans, complying with all legal and ethical standards.
• Engage in regular case consultations, team meetings, and professional development trainings to enhance your clinical skills and remain current with best practices in mental health care.

Our clients include a diverse range of individuals, with a particular focus on those experiencing mood disorders such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. This role requires a compassionate therapist who understands the nuances of these conditions and can effectively tailor interventions to help clients achieve improved mental well-being.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Virginia.
• Expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities, particularly CBT and DBT.
• Strong understanding of psychopharmacology and the skills to collaborate effectively with psychiatrists.
• A proven history of achieving positive outcomes in treating mood disorders.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients from various backgrounds.

While not required, preference will be given to candidates with experience in community health settings and those who have successfully worked with diverse populations facing mental health challenges. Knowledge of telehealth platforms is also advantageous, as remote interactions will be a critical component of the role.
