Job Summary

The SIU Investigator conducts field and remote investigations involving insurance claims. This role requires a strong understanding of insurance coverage principles, compensability analysis, fraud indicators, and investigative documentation.
Assignments may involve property losses, auto claims, liability investigations, and other insurance-related matters.
This is a part-time position requiring schedule flexibility, including occasional evenings and weekends. The role includes both fieldwork and home-office reporting.
Responsibilities

  • Conduct SIU investigations across multiple insurance claim types
  • Identify fraud indicators, compensability issues, and material misrepresentation
  • Administer recorded statements
  • Conduct accident or loss scene investigations
  • Perform neighborhood canvasses and witness interviews
  • Background and online research
  • Gather, document, and preserve evidence in accordance with client protocols and the law
  • Prepare detailed, accurate, and defensible investigative reports
  • Maintain consistent communication with case managers and team members
  • Manage multiple assignments while meeting deadlines
Qualifications

  • Active Florida C Private Investigator License (required)
  • Several years of experience in Insurance Special Investigations (SIU)
  • Experience in property claims investigations preferred
  • Ability to travel up to 3 hours from Ft. Lauderdale if needed
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong written communication and reporting skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, email applications, and standard computer systems
  • Professional demeanor and adherence to ethical standards
  • Fluency in Spanish (written and verbal) a PLUS
