Position Summary

The Director leads delivery of property tax services for a portfolio of clients, overseeing teams, processes, and financial performance. This role sets engagement strategy, ensures quality and client satisfaction, advances business development, and drives profitable growth for the practice.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead assessmentreview strategies and represent clients during appeals and hearings with state and local taxing authorities.

  • Review and approve analyses that support DMA's positions; ensure timely, accurate Reports of Findings and client communications.

  • Apply DMA valuation models and templates; determine prior client methodologies; identify exemptions and abatements; quantify taxsavings opportunities.

  • Conduct and/or oversee onsite inspections of client properties (plants and operations).

  • Drive business development: identify, scope, and develop solutions for prospective and existing clients; effectively communicate DMA service lines.

  • Manage key accounts: develop, sustain, and expand client relationships; ensure high levels of responsiveness and service quality.

  • Provide leadership, direction, and coaching to motivate team members; support performance management and career development.

  • Participate in talent acquisition to build a highperforming team.

  • Ensure adoption of best practices and clientservice standards across the team.

  • Manage engagement economics: forecast production and revenue, contribute to budgeting and strategic planning, and focus activities on profitmargin improvement.

  • Maintain accurate case, assessment, and jurisdictional data in DMA's review management system; oversee production, billing, and invoicing.

  • Track and enforce jurisdictional deadlines for filings, audits, appeals, protests, bill mailings, and taxpayment dates.

  • Participate in industry and DMA events as a speaker or panelist to enhance market awareness and provide client education.

  • Monitor market activity, legislation, and court decisions; brief clients and internal stakeholders on relevant developments.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Real Estate, Finance, Economics, or a related field.

  • 10+ years of professional experience; property tax, valuation, or accounting preferred.

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication; strong problemsolving capability.

  • Proven ability to direct and manage staff and lead crossfunctional efforts.

  • Strong organizational, research, and interpersonal skills; ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

  • Valid driver's license.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Work Schedule: Regular, 40 hours/week

  • Travel: 25-40%

  • Physical Activity:
