You will act as a vital connector to our internal resources, ensuring that our Agents are fully equipped to win, grow, and sustain a profitable business!

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Business Development Execution

  • Partner directly with Agents to identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities.
  • Support prospecting efforts, pipeline development, and deal strategy across assigned geography.
  • Assist in enterprise and complex opportunities including RFPs, Freight Projects, Managed Transportation opportunities, and strategic account growth.
  • Drive expansion within existing accounts, focusing on increased share of wallet and mode diversification.

Agent Partnership & Growth

  • Build strong working relationships with Agents, acting as a go-to resource for business development support.
  • Help Agents create and execute growth plans aligned to their individual business goals.
  • Support business reviews to identify opportunities for growth, retention, and improvement.
  • Increase engagement across the Agent network within assigned region.

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Act as a conduit between Agents and internal teams including Pricing, Advanced Services, Contracts, and Admin.
  • Ensure Agents have access to the right tools, data, and support to win and grow business.
  • Collaborate with Sales Operations and Marketing to support sales materials, reporting, business reviews, and insights.
  • Utilize Salesforce to track activity, maintain pipeline visibility, and document wins.

Market Awareness & Opportunity Identification

  • Maintain awareness of market trends, capacity conditions, and competitive dynamics.
  • Translate market insights into actionable opportunities for Agents
  • Identify gaps or barriers to growth and help navigate solutions

Agent Network Support (as needed)

  • Assist with identifying and engaging potential new Agents
  • Support recruiting efforts when applicable to drive long-term network growth
  • Participates in special projects and handles all other assigned duties as required.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Minimum 3 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain
  2. Experience in business development, sales, or account growth preferred
  3. Strong communication and relationship-building skills across diverse audiences
  4. Ability to influence without direct authority and work cross-functionally
  5. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously
  6. Comfortable working in a remote environment with travel (up to ~50%)
  7. Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)
  8. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and drive results
  9. Western half of the United States domiciled candidates preferred
