Job description

Project Manager – Restoration

Tacoma or Seattle (remote with on-site visits)

Are you looking to join a reputable construction company where no two projects are the same? If you enjoy building relationships, managing projects, and working independently, this could be the role for you.

Our client, an established disaster-restoration contractor serving the greater Seattle area, is looking for a customer-focused Project Manager. They are open to candidates with general construction experience and are willing to train the right person on the restoration side of the industry.

The ideal candidate understands construction, communicates well, and genuinely enjoys helping customers through what can often be a stressful experience. You should be organized, self-directed, and comfortable coordinating multiple projects while working with homeowners, property managers, condominium associations, commercial clients, and insurance partners.

Unlike many traditional contractors, the company offers a remote, flexible schedule, allowing you to plan your day around site visits, customer needs, and personal commitments. You'll join a close-knit team that values autonomy, collaboration, and work-life balance.

Project Manager Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ranging from residential to apartment communities to commercial properties.
  • Service as the primary contact for homeowners, property managers, commercial clients, and insurance partners throughout the life of each project.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, schedules, budgets, and project timelines from start to finish.
  • Build strong relationships with customers by providing proactive communication and exceptional service.
  • Monitor project profitability and ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget.
  • Participate in weekly team meetings to review project progress and financial performance.
  • Handle sensitive customer situations with professionalism and empathy.
  • Perform project close-out: provide a final audit contract, take care of punch list items, clean up, resolve outstanding issues, and collect retention from the owner.

Project Manager Qualifications:

  • Experience managing construction, restoration, or service-based projects.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities independently.
  • Solid understanding of construction sequencing is preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand construction documents such as blueprints, scopes of work, schedules, specifications, safety manuals, etc.
  • Valid driver's license.

Company Benefits & Appreciation:

  • 100% employer paid Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance
  • Unlimited PTO + paid holidays
  • Flexible work schedule.
  • 401k plan with matching.
  • Car allowance, gas card and Good-To-Go Pass
  • Company Credit Card
  • Cell Phone

Compensation: $80,000 - $130,000 (DOE) + project bonuses
