Cookie & Fall Product Program Manager 

Girl Scouts of Western Ohio is hiring for a Cookie Manager in our North region – Toledo. This role is responsible for managing and providing full-cycle project management for all of the behind the scenes activities of our successful girl entrepreneurship programs - coordinating logistics for delivering product from supplier to council and into the hands of girls and volunteers, coaching volunteers - providing ongoing support and encouragement and  leading all daily activities associated with our annual product programs including our exclusive, girl-led product program initiatives: the Girl Scout Cookie Program and the Fall Product Program. The ideal candidate will bring strong project management skills, the ability to manage multiple competing priorities, and a track record of meeting deadlines. This role oversees the execution of product programs across the greater Cincinnati area, including logistics, community relationships, and volunteer support to ensure successful participation and achievement of council revenue and operational goals. In addition to managing annual product campaigns, this position contributes to council-wide strategies, planning, and specialized projects that drive program success. Work behind the scenes of the largest girl-led business in the world as you help implement strategies to support Girl Scouts and volunteers. With creativity and innovation, you will develop the volunteer training program, rewards programs for girls and work collaboratively to make sure members are motivated, prepared, and excited to participate in the Girl Scout Cookie Program and the fall nut and candy program. Candidates with experience leading product-based campaigns, events, or projects as well as strong data reporting skills and a commitment to excellent customer service are encouraged to apply! 

 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 

  • Responsible for designing and implementing strategy and resources to support entrepreneurship and skill building opportunities with the Product Program team for the Fall Product and Girl Scout Cookie Programs alongside the Director of Product Program. 

  • Oversee the operation of all product programs - Fall and Cookie for the local areas.  

  • Develop and implement training to ensure consistent message delivery for product program fall and cookie programs for all service units, troop managers, volunteers and staff.  

  • Coordinate with vendors to create and implement all logistics that successfully deliver product to the councils for distribution to girls and volunteers.  

  • Manage and oversee the warehousing of products including storage and distribution. Monitors product inventory and serves as the liaison for warehouses, distribution companies and vendors.  

  • Contribute to developing strategies to increase girl engagement and participation in the Fall Product and Girl Scout Cookie Programs. 

  • Contribute to the success of the Fall Product Program and Girl Scout Cookie Program through the design, implementation and management of assigned council wide projects to achieve council program and revenue goals. 

  • Implement and manage the Fall Product Program and Girl Scout Cookie Program strategies in assigned region to achieve the revenue goal and provide a quality Girl Scout Leadership Experience; 

  • Cultivate key community contacts and developing collaborations to achieve program and financial goals for product programs within the assigned region; 

  • Serve as an integral part of the Product Program team by providing input to the development of an innovative, strategic, tactical and communication plan for the council product programs. While regional management is a key component to the role, overall collaborative work within a team capacity is what will drive successful results for sustainable programs. 

  • Required to complete ad hoc duties outside of department as business necessitates.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY 
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but will serve as lead and first point of contact for volunteers.  
 
POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK 
This is a full-time position. The days of work are primarily Monday through Friday, but evening work is frequent and occasional weekend work may be required. Hours of work will vary, depending on support required by the program and time of year.  Work schedules are flexible but will be approximately 40-45 hours/week. 
 
TRAVEL 
This is an “in the field” position that may require local travel during the height of the program seasons to assigned geographic areas of the council.  
 
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in the areas of business, marketing or management.  

  • Minimum of two years of experience organizing and directing complex multi-faceted functions in marketing, sales and event planning, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. 

  • Ability to work evening hours and weekends when necessary.  

  • Ability to work in a team environment with commitment to contributing to the organizational goals. 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
