About the Job 

As an Events Manager, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing a wide range of events to support the organization's marketing and business objectives. Event types may include proprietary events, industry trade shows, workshops, and conferences. 

This role goes beyond execution. You will help define and operationalize a corporate events strategy that positions events as a key driver of brand, pipeline, and customer engagement. You will be responsible for creating thoughtful, creative, and end-to-end event experiences that resonate with customers and prospects, strengthen relationships, and differentiate our brand in the market. 

You will work closely with internal teams, clients, and external vendors and partners to ensure seamless execution and a high-quality experience at every touchpoint. This role requires a strong balance of strategic thinking, creativity, and operational excellence. 

Key Responsibilities 

1. Event Strategy and Experience 

  • Contribute to the development and execution of a corporate events strategy aligned to business, brand, and pipeline objectives.  
  • Ensure every event is designed as an intentional, end-to-end experience, from initial invitation through post-event follow-up.  
  • Develop creative event concepts, themes, and environments that elevate the brand and engage customers and prospects in meaningful ways.  
  • Partner with marketing and sales leadership to define target audiences, desired outcomes, and success metrics for each event.  
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve the attendee experience, increase engagement, and differentiate our events from competitors.  

2. Event Planning and Execution 

  • Develop annual event plan, providing event participation recommendations based on company objectives.  
  • Act as a strategic advisor for events.  
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand event objectives, requirements, and target audience.  
  • Create and manage event budgets, timelines, and project plans.  
  • Source and negotiate contracts with vendors, including venues, catering, audiovisual providers, and transportation services.  
  • Coordinate event logistics, including venue selection, room layout, equipment setup, and catering.  
  • Oversee event registration, attendee management, and communications.  
  • Manage event staffing, including coordinators, volunteers, and temporary staff.  
  • Ensure smooth event execution, troubleshooting issues and providing on-site support.  

3. Event Marketing and Promotion 

  • Develop event marketing strategies and campaigns to generate interest and maximize attendance.  
  • Partner with shared services to create event content including invitations, brochures, signage, and promotional materials.  
  • Utilize channels such as social media, email campaigns, and web to promote events.  
  • Collaborate with the broader marketing team to integrate events into larger campaigns and programs.  
  • Monitor event registration and provide regular updates to stakeholders.  

4. Relationship Management 

  • Build and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders, clients, and external vendors and partners.  
  • Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery of services and resolve issues as they arise.  
  • Act as the primary point of contact for event-related inquiries and deliver a high standard of client service.  
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and operations, to align event objectives with broader business goals.  

5. Post-Event Evaluation and Reporting 

  • Ensure effective lead capture and post-event follow-up, including development of call scripts and offers.  
  • Evaluate event performance against defined objectives, including pipeline impact, engagement, and attendee satisfaction.  
  • Collect and analyze feedback from attendees, sponsors, and stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement.  
  • Prepare event reports including metrics, budget analysis, and recommendations for future events.  

Requirements

Qualifications and Skills 

  • Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related field  
  • 5-7+ years of experience in event marketing, with increasing ownership and accountability  
  • Proven ability to own event strategy and manage budgets  
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple complex events simultaneously  
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills  
  • Hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in both strategic and executional capacities  
  • Experience working cross-functionally with sales and marketing teams
