Summary:

Reporting to the Vice-President of Program and Engineering, the Program Manager will plan, organize and direct company and supplier resources to ensure all assigned program cost and schedule milestones are met. Responsibilities include management of schedules, design oversight, cost/benefit analysis, with involvement in development, test, certification, customer service, quality, reliability, and entry-into-service. The Program Manager is responsible for managing multiple projects at once, with different customers. The Program Manager has an ability to lead teams and works well in an environment with significant time constraints and where decisions have a direct financial impact on the company.


Job description:

  • Maintain and nurture relationship with customers
  • Maintain action tracking registers
  • Identify and manage program risks; technical, resources, financial or others
  • Develop program management plans for each project
  • Ensure programs are completed on time and on budget
  • Oversight of program configuration control activities and product specifications
  • Provide support of supplier selection process during development
  • Provide supplier oversight of critical components and systems for production, direct QA and Manufacturing teams based on program needs
  • Support and coordinate preparation of statement of work, proposals, cost estimates and negotiation of contract terms of conditions with customers and suppliers
  • Responsible chair customer meetings, SRR, PDR, CDR, PRR. Coordinate other internal meetings required to achieve program objectives
  • Establish resource plan and identify gaps. Support resource staffing.
  • Coordinating activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget
  • Coordinate the implementation of engineering changes to existing production
  • Regular interaction with company and supplier Senior Management as well as functional department management and staff
  • Perform risk analysis and mitigate risks


Requirements:

  • B.S. In Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent combination of technical disciplines
  • Between 5 to 8 years of experience.
  • MBA and/or PMP qualification is ideal
  • Experience in managing programs that have multiple phases from engineering development to manufacturing (typically 6 to 18 months long).
  • Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to manage customers
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Proficient capability with MS Office & MS Project preferred

  • Supporter et coordonner la préparation des énoncés de travail, propositions, estimations de coûts et la négociation des conditions contractuelles avec les clients et fournisseurs
  • Présider les rencontres clients SRR, PDR, CDR, PRR. Coordonner les autres réunions internes nécessaires pour atteindre les objectifs du programme
  • Établir un plan de ressources et identifier les écarts. Supporter l’affectation des ressources.
  • Coordonner les activités du personnel de projet pour assurer l’avancement conforme au calendrier et au budget établi
  • Coordonner la mise en Å“uvre des modifications d’ingénierie en production
  • Interagir régulièrement avec la haute direction de l’entreprise et des fournisseurs ainsi qu’avec les gestionnaires et le personnel des départements fonctionnels
  • Effectuer des analyses de risques et mettre en place des mesures d’atténuation


Exigences:

  • Baccalauréat en génie mécanique ou industriel ou combinaison équivalente de disciplines techniques
  • Entre 5 et 8 ans d’expérience
  • MBA et/ou certification PMP un atout
  • Expérience en gestion de programmes comportant plusieurs phases du développement à la production (généralement 6 à 18 mois)
  • Solides compétences interpersonnelles et capacité démontrée à gérer les clients
  • Excellentes habiletés de communication orale et écrite en anglais
