Rate of Pay:                 $203,000 to $248,000 per year

What you'll do 

  • Oversee highly visible, high-risk, broad-scale programs requiring extensive cross-functional coordination. 
  • Lead the strategy and operationalization of controls against earner fraudulent account creation, encompassing fraud documents, fraudulent profile photos, identity theft, and deduplication. 
  • Spearhead the development and execution of the Identity Operations roadmap for CommOps globally, aligning with cross-functional stakeholders including Safety Operations, Product, Engineering, and Legal to balance compliance with optimal user experience. 
  • Deeply understand the architecture and integration points of Uber's document verification and onboarding processes, products, and policies. 
  • Advise product design and improvements with a direct impact on business value and overhaul existing policies that limit performance. 
  • Standardize and unite regional operational processes for vetting identification and eligibility documents using advanced technology capabilities such as automation, machine learning, and workflow management. 
  • Drive adoption of new processes and product feature rollouts, continuously measuring, analyzing, and improving implemented changes. 
  • Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing operations team dedicated to identity management and fraud prevention. 
  • Supervise at least 1 (one) Program Lead/ 13-1082; Project Management Specialist and Program Manager/ 13-1111; Management Analysts. 
  • May telecommute.
     

Basic Qualifications 

  • Employer will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Information Management, Project Management, or a related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. 
  • Position requires: 
    • Leverage external knowledge to forecast trends, make decisions with measurable impact on company objectives, and guide teams to think long-term;
    • Roadmapping, effectively managing highly visible and high-risk programs, and demonstrating proactive foresight to manage changes and identify potential crises;
    • Project management techniques, such as, Gantt Charts, RAPID decision-making framework, Red/Yellow/Green status updates;
    • Prioritization approaches (e.g., Return-on-Investment Analysis and Break-Even Analysis);
    • Analytical skills using proven business frameworks (SWOT analysis, balanced scorecard, benchmarking, and competitive analysis) and effective root-cause analysis;
    • Mathematical and statistical analysis, ability to translate data-driven insights into understandable visuals for senior management, and application of sophisticated statistical experimentation methods (e.g., time series evaluation, difference-in-difference method, and synthetic control method);
    • Coding: Proficiency inata extraction and modeling using various internal and external data tools and languages;
    • Negotiating and overseeing resource allocation and priorities to ensure the on-time delivery of projects and deliverables.
