• Perform comprehensive assessments to identify clients' social, emotional, and psychological needs, utilizing both structured interviews and standardized assessment tools.
• Provide evidence-based individual and group counseling to clients dealing with diverse challenges, employing various therapeutic methodologies, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and trauma-informed care.
• Develop and implement personalized service plans tailored to clients' specific goals and objectives, continuously monitoring progress and adjusting interventions as necessary.
• Advocate for clients' rights and access to essential community resources, navigating complex systems to facilitate their engagement in available programs.
• Contribute to program development by evaluating service effectiveness, participating in grant reporting, and suggesting improvements based on direct client feedback.
• Actively participate in community outreach efforts aimed at raising awareness about mental health resources, organizing workshops, and building partnerships with local organizations.
• Maintain precise and confidential documentation of client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans, adhering to applicable ethical and legal standards.
• Engage in ongoing professional development activities to remain current on best practices in social work and mental health counseling.

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program is required.

• Previous work with diverse populations and knowledge of community resources in the Chesapeake area is highly desirable.
