About the RoleLHH has partnered with a great firm who is seeking a
Contract Attorney with at least
5+ years of litigation experience to support a growing practice handling insurance-related matters for established clients. This is a long-term contract role with the potential to convert to a full-time position for the right fit.
This opportunity offers significant flexibility, including fully remote work, with optional access to a Portland office. Candidates will attend an initial onsite day to receive equipment and onboarding.
Key Responsibilitiesโข Conduct legal research and case analysis
โข Perform case intake, file review, and document review
โข Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
โข Support discovery and case management
โข Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and legal teams
โข Take on increasingly substantive work based on performance and experience
Qualificationsโข Active
Oregon Bar license requiredโข Minimum
5+ years of litigation experienceโข Insurance defense experience is a
plus but not requiredโข Strong writing, analytical, and organizational skills
โข Ability to manage deadlines in a remote or hybrid environment
Work Environment & Scheduleโข Remote-friendly (fully remote or hybrid optional)
โข Portland office available for those who prefer onsite work
โข Initial onsite visit required for onboarding and equipment pickup
โข Flexible scheduling; full-time (40 hours/week) preferred, part-time considered

Compensation & Details:โข
Hourly Pay Range: Up to $70/hour, depending on experience and qualifications
โข Contract- ongoing and open ended
โข Remote, with options to go in office if preferred
