TITLE: Associate Director, Client Partnerships
LOCATION: This role may be performed remotely; however, candidates must reside within the Central Region (Arkansas, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, North Dakota, Nebraska, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Wisconsin)

UNDERSTANDING THE ROLE
Our Chicago Office, located downtown on Randolph and Wacker, is currently seeking an Associate Director, Client Partnerships to work collaboratively with our nonprofit partners to onboard new engagements, support directors in new assignments, and lead select client services on a part-time basis. This is a new position to expand our existing team with opportunities for growth. You will have direct access to leaders in the field and expert training, expanding your opportunities to learn and building your network for future success.
 
As part of the CCS Central Region team, you will support engagements with nonprofits of all shapes and sizes across our 20-state region. You will join a rapidly growing team of high-performing professionals that specialize in getting new projects off the ground, collaborating with clients on case messaging strategy, project sequencing, and initiative best practices, especially for feasibility studies and development assessments. This is a client-facing role.
 
This role will interact with senior level executives on the Central Region team.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as a project manager and strategic partner to nonprofit clients in the initial phases of project activity and for part-time projects, including but not limited to feasibility studies and development assessments
  • Manage multiple onboarding projects simultaneously, effectively prioritizing tasks, identifying potential challenges, and proactively communicating with CCS team members
  • Be the central point of contact and consultative liaison between the client and the CCS team
  • Support relationship building and make a strong first impression on our client partners
  • Lead in the design, execution, and facilitation of all initial planning calls and meetings
  • Develop the foundational materials that will guide the engagement, including work plans, discussion guides, and other operational tools
  • Partner with nonprofits in the development of preliminary case statements, including collecting key materials, gathering insights through conversations, and workshopping document drafts
  • Write and design donor-facing materials
  • Conduct high-level data analysis to review our clients’ past fundraising performance and support identification of new potential
  • Review and understand contracts, deliverables, and project timelines to kickstart partnership activity and meet deadlines in advance of primary director assignment
  • Support both client and internal team members in all aspects of project setup, and develop internal tools and resources for effective project implementation
  • Develop strategy, create deliverables, and liaise with clients and executives as the primary director for part-time projects
  • Facilitate the transition of each onboarding engagement to a full-time CCS team member
  • Assist with proofreading, data entry, and client and director training, as needed
 
QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum three to four years’ experience in a related field
  • A bachelor’s degree in a related field

  • Ability to think critically, evaluate multiple perspectives, and navigate complex situations

  • Outstanding organizational skills, time management skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Highly self-motivated with an inclination to take ownership
  • Skilled in Excel; additional data analytics experience a plus
  • Skilled in PowerPoint; additional graphic design skills a plus
