Product Architect- Healthcare EMR Platform

Location: Remote (US Only) | Employment: Full-Time

About the Role

Seeking a hands-on Product Architect to lead the architecture of an AI-native, HIPAA-compliant EMR platform. You'll own product architecture, write production code, mentor engineers, and drive technical decisions across backend, frontend, mobile, cloud, and integrations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and own end-to-end product architecture.
  • Build and ship production code regularly.
  • Lead AWS cloud architecture, security, scalability, and reliability.
  • Design healthcare integrations (FHIR, HL7v2, X12).
  • Mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, and document architectural decisions.
  • Ensure HIPAA compliance, system performance, and production support.

Required Skills

  • 10+ years in Software Engineering/Architecture with SaaS products.
  • Strong TypeScript, Node.js, React, React Native (Expo).
  • Expert in AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, Aurora PostgreSQL, EventBridge, SQS, CloudFront, IAM, KMS).
  • Strong PostgreSQL, REST API, and FHIR API design.
  • Hands-on FHIR, HL7v2, X12 EDI (Mandatory).
  • Infrastructure as Code (AWS CDK/Terraform/Pulumi).

  • AI-assisted development using Claude/Cursor.
