The US Oncology Network is looking for a Remote Healthcare Operations Business Analyst to join our Transformation Office Team at Texas Oncology.  This position will be primarly located in Dallas, Texas, but will support all of Texas Oncology. Some travel may be necessary for training and team meetings. Some travel, up to 20% is required. Must currently reside in Texas or be willing to relocate to Texas prior to start date.

What does this position do? 

Under general supervision, the Business Analyst is a critical member of the Transformation Office (TO), a centralized function
dedicated to driving enterprise-wide change and delivering measurable value across Texas Oncology.  Operating at the intersection of strategy and execution, the Business Analyst partners with the Business Architect and cross-functional teams to ensure digital health initiatives are aligned with organizational goals, enable resilient and agile operations, and support continuous transformation. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include Code of Ethics and Business Standards, and US Oncology's Shared Values.


Responsibilities

The essential duties and responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Lead requirements workshops with clinicians, operations, revenue cycle, and vendors to capture
    business needs.
  • Elicit, analyze, and document requirements that support strategic priorities and measurable
    outcomes.
  • Draft and maintain Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) and related artifacts for initiatives.
  • Develop process maps, future-state workflows, and use cases to support solution design and
    implementation.
  • Document workshop outcomes into visual models and structured deliverables.
  • Apply operational knowledge of healthcare workflows to accurately map and optimize processes.
  • Coordinate with vendors to ensure solutions meet documented requirements and business needs.
  • Validate deliverables against BRDs and maintain traceability between requirements and solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to confirm vendor solutions align with real-world workflows.
  • Support change management activities, communications, and development of training materials.
  • Assist in developing measurable outcome frameworks and KPI tracking for projects.
  • Maintain a centralized repository of reusable requirements, templates, and strategic artifacts.
  • Support the development of playbooks and frameworks for workflows, vendor alignment, KPIs, and
    governance.
  • Provide documentation, analysis, and stakeholder coordination support to the Business Architect.
  • Track and communicate project progress, issues, and risks to stakeholders.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have the following background and experience:

Education & Credentials

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Health Informatics, Information Systems, Healthcare
    Management, or a related field.
  • OR Associates degree and 4 years of relevant work experience.
  • OR High School Diploma/GED and 8 years of relevant work experience.
  • Advanced degree (e.g., Master’s in Health Administration, MBA, or similar) is a plus.

Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), PMI-PBA, Lean Six
Sigma, or HIMSS) are advantageous.


Experience

  • 3–5 years as a Business Analyst in healthcare, digital health, or technology transformation, or
    equivalent healthcare leadership experience.
  • Proven ability in requirements gathering, process mapping, documentation, and cross-functional
    collaboration.
  • Experience coordinating with vendors and validating solutions.
  • Familiarity with change management, training support, and KPI/outcome measurement.
  • Proficiency with requirements management and process mapping tools (e.g., Jira, Smartsheet,
    Visio, Miro).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; able to present complex information clearly.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Solid understanding of healthcare operations, clinical workflows, and revenue cycle processes.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations (HIPAA, GDPR, CMS) and best practices.
  • Awareness of healthcare industry trends, emerging technologies, and digital transformation
    strategies.
  • Ability to build strong partnerships with diverse stakeholders and ensure strategic alignment.
