Position Overview

MedSphere Counseling Inc. is seeking a full-time Licensed Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LPC, LCSW) to join our dedicated team. Work Environment

This role is fully remote, offering you the flexibility to work from your home while still being integrated into a dynamic support system with fellow therapists and healthcare professionals. Our clinic operates from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with opportunities for scheduling flexibility based on the needs of our clients. This position requires an ethos of compassion and a commitment to fostering a safe, healing environment for trauma survivors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments that evaluate clients' trauma histories to inform personalized treatment plans.
  • Design and implement tailored treatment interventions that focus on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and overall mental health wellness.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate client progress.
  • Lead individual and group therapy sessions that help patients process traumatic experiences, develop healthy coping strategies, and promote emotional healing.
  • Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other professionals within the multidisciplinary team to provide integrated care for all clients.
  • Provide immediate crisis intervention during trauma-related emergencies to ensure client safety and emotional support.
  • Educate clients and their families on trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available community resources to support ongoing recovery.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential case documentation in compliance with HIPAA and ethical guidelines.
  • Actively participate in case consultations, team meetings, and continued education workshops on trauma treatment.
  • Stay informed of current research and best practices in trauma therapy to continuously enhance client care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with individuals who have experienced various forms and intensities of trauma, including PTSD and complex trauma. The client population is diverse, encompassing different ages, backgrounds, and life experiences. Your role will be pivotal in guiding these clients through their recovery journey, offering them compassionate support and effective therapeutic techniques tailored to their unique needs.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Georgia.
  • Possession of a minimum two years of post-licensure experience is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders, trauma-informed treatment modalities, and resilience-building frameworks.
  • Expertise in delivering trauma-focused therapies, with a focus on effective interventions.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to a compassionate, non-judgmental therapeutic approach.
  • The ability to remain composed and effective in high-stress situations while providing crisis support.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant computer applications.
  • A collaborative spirit with the capability to thrive as part of a multidisciplinary team.
