Position Overview

MedSphere Counseling Inc. is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Therapist, specializing in trauma-informed care, to join our team in a full-time capacity. This remote role will enable you to provide specialized mental health support to individuals grappling with the effects of trauma, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Your expertise will be critical in helping our clients navigate their recovery journey and improve their overall mental health and well-being.

Work Environment

This position will be fully remote, allowing you to work from the comfort of your own home while maintaining a flexible schedule. You will join a dynamic team of professionals dedicated to trauma recovery. Typical work hours will be Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility based on patient needs. Collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team is essential, and you will have access to advanced electronic health record (EHR) systems to support your work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories and develop appropriate treatment strategies.
  • Design and implement individualized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery and resilience-building for each patient.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including but not limited to Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), during both individual and group therapy sessions.
  • Provide crisis intervention support and assistance during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring patients receive timely and appropriate care.
  • Engage collaboratively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure the integration of care for patients.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation compliant with legal and ethical standards while also ensuring confidentiality.
  • Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development focused on enhancing trauma-informed care practices.
  • Stay informed of the latest research and methodological advancements within the field of trauma therapy to enhance patient treatment and therapy outcomes.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will primarily focus on patients who have experienced various forms of trauma, including PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. The client population at MedSphere Counseling Inc. is diverse, representing individuals from various backgrounds and experiences. You will be responsible for educating patients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and resources available for recovery, significantly impacting their understanding and navigation of their healing process.

Qualifications
  • Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
  • Possession of a current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW within the state of Washington.
  • Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and demonstrated expertise in trauma-informed treatments.
  • Excellent communication skills to create a compassionate and non-judgmental space for clients.
  • Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure, particularly in high-stress situations.
  • Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and strong computer skills are necessary for documentation and coordination of care.
  • Strong collaboration skills to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling is preferred, particularly in settings focused on trauma recovery.
  • Experience delivering specific trauma-focused therapies and interventions designed to support clients' recovery.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 104,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
