Position Overview

Site Worker is seeking a Senior Electrical Estimator for one of our premier clients in Apopka, FL. This is a key role within a rapidly growing electrical division, offering an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional to advance their career and maximize earning potential.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed estimates and takeoffs for a variety of projects, including heavy commercial, industrial/manufacturing, and multi-residential construction, ranging from renovations and tenant build-outs to ground-up construction.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed electrical estimates and material takeoffs
  • Analyze project plans, specifications, and drawings
  • Work on projects including commercial, industrial/manufacturing, and multi-residential builds
  • Collaborate closely with the Vice President of Operations and company leadership
  • Participate in contract negotiations
  • Support design-build and design-assist projects
  • Assist with electrical system layout and project planning
  • Maintain accurate documentation and file organization

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum 10+ years of electrical estimating experience in commercial and industrial sectors
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on electrical field experience
  • Strong knowledge of NEC (National Electrical Code)
  • Experience with design-build and design-assist projects
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer systems
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Dependable, organized, and detail-oriented
  • This is NOT a remote job. Location: Apopka, FL
    Preferred
    • Experience with Accubid estimating software
    • Familiarity with Bluebeam and construction document management tools
    • Experience in theme park or large-scale commercial projects

What You'll Be Doing

  • Installing residential fire suppression systems using CPVC and/or PEX plastic piping throughout multifamily units and common areas
  • Reading and working from blueprints, riser diagrams, and hydraulic calculations
  • Laying out and cutting plastic pipe, threading fittings, and installing sprinkler heads per NFPA 13D/13R standards
  • Coordinating rough-in work with framers, plumbers, and other trades on a fast-paced residential schedule
  • Performing pressure tests and system inspections prior to cover-up
  • Maintaining a clean, safe work area and adhering to all OSHA safety standards

What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years of experience installing fire sprinkler systems, preferably in multifamily or residential construction
  • Hands-on experience with plastic piping systems (CPVC, PEX) this project does not involve metal pipe or threading
  • Familiarity with NFPA 13D and/or 13R residential sprinkler standards
  • Ability to read blueprints and work independently from layout
  • Florida Sprinkler Fitter license or equivalent certification preferred; journeyman experience considered
  • Reliable transportation to the Sarasota job site
  • Strong communication and ability to work as part of a coordinated trades team
