Job Title: DevOps Engineer

Type: Contract Job DescriptionWe are seeking a DevOps Engineer with strong AWS Cloud expertise to design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and automated cloud infrastructure for enterprise-grade applications. You will build and optimize CI/CD pipelines, manage Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), and ensure high availability, reliability, and observability of cloud-based workloads across dev, test, and production environments.
Responsibilities - Design and implement robust CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment processes using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or AWS CodePipeline.
- Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to provision, version-control, and maintain AWS environments.
- Provision, manage, and optimize multiple AWS environments (DEV, TEST, PROD) for availability, security, and cost-efficiency.
- Ensure high availability, scalability, and reliability of cloud-based applications and services.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions (e.g., CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and third-party tools) for proactive incident detection and resolution.
- Collaborate closely with development and architecture teams to streamline deployment processes, enforce standards, and reduce release lead time.
- Apply AWS networking and security best practices (VPC, subnets, route tables, security groups, IAM, KMS).
- Support DevSecOps and observability practices, including secrets management, compliance, and performance tuning.
Required Skills & ExpertiseMandatory Skills (AWS DevOps Services) - Strong, hands-on experience with the AWS Cloud platform.
- Expertise in Terraform for infrastructure automation and IaC management.
- Solid understanding of CI/CD tools and practices (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline).
- In-depth knowledge of AWS networking and security best practices (VPC, security groups, IAM, KMS, compliance basics).
- Good understanding of the AWS Well-Architected Framework (reliability, security, performance efficiency, cost optimization, operational excellence).
Core AWS Services Experience - Networking: VPC, subnets, route tables, security groups.
- Compute / Containers: ECS, ECR, Lambda, and containerized workloads.
- Load Balancing: API Gateway, ALB, ELB.
- Storage & Databases: S3, RDS.
- Security: KMS, IAM, least-privilege design.
- Monitoring: CloudWatch (metrics, logs, alarms).
- Content & Networking Delivery: Route 53, CloudFront.
- IoT Services (Nice-to-have context): IoT Core, IoT SiteWise, IoT Greengrass.
Nice-to-Have - Experience with container orchestration (ECS, Fargate, Kubernetes).
- Exposure to DevSecOps practices (security-shift-left, secrets management, image scanning, policy-as-code).
- Experience designing and operating multi-account AWS architectures and governance frameworks (Control Tower, Organizations, SSO, central logging/monitoring).
Soft Skills - Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting mindset.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills with development, SRE, and security teams.
- Ability to document and evangelize AWS best practices and DevOps patterns.
