Job Overview:

As a Senior Proposal Strategist at SlateRx, you will play a critical role in our Sales & Marketing team. ย Your primary responsibility will be to create compelling, accurate, and timely responses to Request for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and similar projects related to PBM services. ย Your expertise in proposal writing will help us secure new partnerships, retain clients, and drive growth in the PBM industry. Additionally, you will collaborate with various teams and company leadership to ensure the quality and effectiveness of our proposal responses.

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Proposal Strategist, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Research and Analysis:ย  Conduct in-depth research and analysis of RFPs, RFIs, and related documents to extract essential information necessary for capturing bid requirements and crafting responses.

  • Content Creation:ย  Write, edit, and refine responses to RFPs, proactive proposals, and executive summaries or custom cover letters. Create clear, concise, and persuasive content that effectively communicates our products, capabilities, and services.

  • Database Management:ย  Support the maintenance and organization of our proposal database and exhibit library, which are crucial for responding to RFPs and RFIs efficiently.

  • Timely Completion:ย  Compose and complete all work products accurately and within established timeframes to meet submission deadlines.

  • Project Tracking and Reporting: Track and manage projects using the company's CRM and compile data for annual RFP and broker/consultant reporting.

  • Teamwork:ย Proactively coordinate with stakeholders and subject matter experts' company-wide to craft appropriate compelling responses for RFP/RFIs.

  • Forward Thinking:ย Propose and lead strategic initiatives to improve proposal team contributions to the business, team efficiency, andย qualityย improvements.

  • Workload:ย Manage multiple RFP/RFIs at onceย and reportย on status of each proposalย to the team.

  • Process Management:ย Ensure that all documented processes and best practices are followed throughout theย life of the proposal andย notify department leadershipย ofย instances where the processes conflict with the RFP/RFI or current company/departmental operations.

  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

  • Education:ย  Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, or a related field.ย  Alternatively, 4 years of proposal writing experience can be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • Experience:ย  A minimum of 3 years of experience as a proposal writer in the PBM industry. You should have a demonstrated track record of leading complex RFPs for large, national employer groups as well as health plans.

  • Project Management:ย  Strong project management skills to effectively coordinate and prioritize tasks, ensuring the completion of multiple RFPs simultaneously.

  • Software Proficiency:ย  Proficiency in using MS Office Suite is essential.ย  Familiarity with proposal management software is strongly preferred.

  • Analytical Skills:ย  The ability to quickly review and analyze proposal solicitations and related documents to extract critical information is crucial.

  • Communication:ย  Exceptional written and oral communication skills are necessary, as you will be working closely with cross-functional teams and clients.

  • Autonomous Leadership:ย  Demonstrated ability to independently lead the proposal process from start to finish.

  • Organization:ย  Strong organizational, planning, and scheduling skills are required to manage proposal deadlines effectively.

  • Creativity:ย  Demonstrated creative and business writing skills to craft compelling proposals.

  • 3-5 years minimum of previous experience in pharmacy benefits administration, operations, or related discipline - specific experience as a proposal writer in PBM / Specialty Pharmacy.

  • Experience with proposal management and RFP response software and tools (ex. Qvidian).

Education:

Bachelor's degree in communications, Marketing, English, Journalism or related field OR four (4) years of proposal writing experience in lieu of a degree; master's degree a plus.
