Cherry Bekaert Recruiting is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager with a strong background in the construction industry to lead and manage all payroll-related functions. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and compliant payroll processing, including certified payroll reporting, benefits administration, and expense reimbursements.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, well-versed in construction payroll complexities, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll Management
  • Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for all employees, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Manage and review certified payroll reporting in accordance with government and contract requirements (e.g., prevailing wage laws)
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure proper documentation
Compliance & Reporting
  • Ensure adherence to all payroll tax regulations, wage laws, and industry-specific compliance requirements
  • Prepare and review payroll-related reports, filings, and reconciliations
  • Act as the primary point of contact for payroll audits and inquiries
Benefits Administration
  • Oversee employee benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, and coordination with vendors
