• Complete comprehensive assessments to determine the mental health needs of patients and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to their concerns.
• Provide short-term counseling and crisis intervention for patients facing various emotional challenges, ranging from anxiety and depression to trauma-related issues.
• Facilitate engaging therapy groups and informative workshops on topics pertinent to mental health and personal development, using evidence-based practices.
• Collaborate actively with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, physical therapists, and patient support services, to coordinate the overall treatment efforts for patients.
• Engage in community outreach activities to promote mental health awareness and prevention initiatives, such as education campaigns and wellness events.
• Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems to maintain accurate, confidential patient documentation that adheres to professional ethical standards.

The ideal candidate will work with a diverse patient population, including individuals with chronic pain, mental health concerns related to injury recovery, and those seeking general mental health support. Understanding the unique challenges faced by patients with physical ailments is essential, as mental well-being is an integral part of their rehabilitation journey.

• A valid state license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or a licensed Psychologist.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required; however, a Master’s or Doctorate in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong understanding of the mental health challenges faced by patients, particularly within the healthcare system.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients and the broader healthcare team.
• Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic approaches and brief intervention models, particularly in a remote setting.
• The ability to manage a diverse patient caseload while prioritizing tasks effectively in a dynamic remote work environment.

• Experience in a telehealth or digital counseling environment is highly valued, as it is instrumental in adapting to remote patient interactions.
• Prior experience in a hospital or healthcare setting, particularly in rehabilitation, is advantageous to navigate the comprehensive care model effectively.
• Involvement in community outreach or mental health advocacy initiatives illustrates a commitment to improving public understanding of mental health issues.
