Title: Lead Application Engineer - Flexible Packaging
Location: Fully Remote
Job Type: Full-Time Permanent
Industry: Manufacturing & Production
Travel: Up to 60% (USA with occasional Canada/Mexico travel)

Overview
Seeking an experienced Application Engineer to provide technical support, troubleshooting, customer solutions, and application expertise for flexible packaging adhesives and coating technologies. This role works closely with customers and cross-functional teams across sales, manufacturing, product development, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support, product recommendations, troubleshooting, and customer demonstrations
  • Support adhesive/coating application processes and manufacturing equipment
  • Investigate customer complaints, quality concerns, and perform analytical problem-solving
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, manufacturing, supply chain, and innovation teams
  • Lead customer projects, laboratory requests, and technology adoption initiatives
  • Train customers and sales teams on applications, safety, and best practices
  • Document technical activities within CRM/LIM systems and prepare technical reports

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Materials Engineering, Chemistry, or related field
  • 5-10+ years of engineering, technical service, or industry experience
  • Flexible packaging industry experience preferred
  • Hands-on coating, converting, laminating adhesives/coatings experience preferred
  • Strong troubleshooting, project management, and customer-facing communication skills
  • Mechanical/application equipment aptitude
