Role: Director of Engineering
Location: Ontario, Canada - Remote & USA - Remote
Experience: up to 15 years
Job description:
  1. 10-12 years of experience in delivery, program, or project management within analytics, data management, or data engineering domains.
  2. Proven experience managing large, global, cross-functional teams.
  3. Strong understanding of data management and data engineering ecosystems.
  4. Strong experience with AWS or other cloud data ecosystems (Azure, Databricks, Snowflake, GCP).
  5. Hands-on familiarity with SQL & Python
  6. Experience with Agile delivery and project management tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps, etc.).
  7. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured, data-driven mindset.
  8. Experience with data clean room solutions, consent platforms, DataOps exposure (data observability, DQ frameworks, lineage, incident management, and SLO/SLA governance), software/application development delivery (frontend, backend, API management, and design/UX collaboration), SDLC practices (CI/CD)
  9. Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills, including executive presence.
  10. Demonstrated success in account mining, organic BD, and supporting revenue growth.

Must Have Skills:
  1. Mandatory AWS expertise and certification(s)
  2. Strong data management experience
  3. Candidates with experience in domains such as Sports, Media, Entertainment, Gaming, Health, Fitness, or Lifestyle would be highly preferred
