Now Hiring: Long Term Care Order Entry Specialist (Little Rock Arkansas)

Red River Pharmacy Long Term Care is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Long Term Care Order Entry Specialist to join our growing team. This is a full-time remote position for the ideal candidate.

Position Summary

The Long Term Care Order Entry Specialist is responsible for accurately entering prescription orders, maintaining patient records, and working closely with pharmacists and healthcare facilities to ensure timely and accurate medication processing. The ideal candidate is organized, efficient, and thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Qualifications
  • Previous Long Term Care pharmacy experience preferred
  • Order entry experience in a pharmacy setting required
  • FrameworkLTC software experience is a huge plus
  • Must be licensed with the Arkansas State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician, or be eligible to obtain licensure.
  • For the ideal candidate, Red River Pharmacy Long Term Care is willing to cover the cost of obtaining Arkansas State Board of Pharmacy licensure.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent computer and data entry skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to work independently while maintaining productivity in a remote setting
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
Responsibilities
  • Enter prescription orders accurately and efficiently into the pharmacy system
  • Review prescriptions for completeness and accuracy
  • Communicate with nursing facilities, physicians' offices, and pharmacy staff regarding prescription clarification when needed
  • Maintain accurate patient medication profiles
  • Process medication changes, refills, and new admissions
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable state and federal regulations
  • Assist pharmacists with workflow to ensure medications are processed in a timely manner
  • Perform other duties as assigned
