Job description

Job Summary:

They are seeking a Digital Technical Specialist to support healthcare clients with data, reporting, analytics, and automation initiatives, focusing on designing and implementing data-driven solutions to improve performance.
Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and support data, reporting, and analytics solutions for healthcare clients
• Partner with client stakeholders to understand reporting and analytics requirements and translate them into technical designs
• Develop and maintain SQL-based queries, data extracts, and reporting datasets
• Build, enhance, and support reports and dashboards using SSRS, Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools
• Support data integration and transformation activities using SQL Server, SSIS, and related technologies
• Contribute to healthcare reporting use cases including clinical, operational, financial, and regulatory reporting
• Leverage automation tools and scripting (e.g., Boston Workstation, Summit, or similar) to improve efficiency and scalability
• Support EHR-related data and reporting efforts, including:
• Oracle Health / Cerner
• MEDITECH
• Epic or other healthcare platforms
• Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues and recommend practical solutions
• Work independently while collaborating effectively with broader project teams
• Document technical designs, processes, and solutions in a clear, client-ready manner
• Stay current with emerging technologies, including AI-enabled analytics and automation, and apply them where appropriate
• Must be willing and able to travel up to 25% of the time as required per client demands.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Healthcare industry experience (required) — clinical, financial, operational, or IT analytics
• Strong experience with SQL for querying, data analysis, and reporting
• Hands-on experience with one or more of the following: SSRS, Power BI, Tableau
• Experience working with SQL Server, including data structures and performance considerations
• Experience with Visual Studio and SSIS for report and data integration development
• Demonstrated experience in report writing and data analysis
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and deliver high-quality work with minimal oversight
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Working knowledge of Oracle Health (Cerner), MEDITECH, Epic, or other EHR platforms
Preferred:
• Demonstrated proficiency with proprietary EHR reporting tools such as MEDITECH BCA, Report Writer or Report Designer, Oracle (Cerner) CCL
• Oracle or Postgres database management systems and related querying tools
• Experience with automation tools or scripting frameworks (e.g., Boston Workstation, Summit, or similar)
• Exposure to AI, machine learning, or advanced analytics in a healthcare context
• Experience supporting large-scale healthcare IT or analytics implementations
• Prior consulting experience in a client-facing role
