About the Role
As an Associate Manager, Logistics Operations, you'll lead a team responsible for executing daily transportation operations at one of Uber Freight's dedicated customer locations in Creve Coeur, MO.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll balance operational execution with coaching and developing a team of Logistics Specialists while ensuring freight moves safely, efficiently, and on time. You'll play a key role in driving operational excellence by resolving transportation challenges, supporting customer service initiatives, and identifying opportunities to improve processes and team performance.
Working closely with onsite operations, warehouse, production, transportation, and carrier partners, you'll help coordinate daily shipment activity, manage operational priorities, and serve as an escalation point for transportation-related issues. Success in this role requires strong leadership, effective communication, a customer-first mindset, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced logistics environment.
Work Environment
This role follows a hybrid work schedule and is based in Creve Coeur, MO.
  • Monday & Friday: Remote
  • Tuesday-Thursday: Required onsite at a dedicated customer location in Creve Coeur, MO
  • Standard Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM
  • Additional flexibility may be required during peak business periods or to support operational escalations.
What You'll Do
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Logistics Specialists by providing day-to-day guidance, training, performance support, and professional development.
  • Execute daily transportation operations, including shipment planning, dispatch, load tracking, rate negotiation, and issue resolution.
  • Monitor transportation activity and proactively identify and resolve operational or service-related issues.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for transportation challenges while partnering with carriers and customer stakeholders to drive timely resolution.
  • Collaborate with onsite production, warehouse, and transportation teams to align shipment priorities and delivery schedules.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, service, and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate transportation documentation and ensure data integrity across transportation management systems and internal platforms.
  • Participate in daily operational meetings and contribute to transportation planning and execution.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational performance, service quality, and team effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with transportation procedures, safety standards, and customer requirements.
Basic Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in dispatch, transportation operations, or supply chain execution within the dry van transportation market.
  • Demonstrated leadership through coaching, mentoring, training, project leadership, or other informal leadership responsibilities.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications to manage operational data, reporting, and day-to-day business activities.
  • Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in transportation operations, dispatch, or supply chain execution.
  • 1+ years of people leadership experience.
  • Experience supporting operations in a customer-facing or onsite environment.
  • Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS), logistics technology platforms, and operational reporting tools.
