Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 5 a.m. - 2 p.m.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Remote Operations Center (ROC) Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing remote operations support functions for power generation equipment and auxiliary systems. This role ensures the coordination of technical support, drives fleet operational performance, and provides strategic direction for data driven reliability and continuous improvement initiatives. The position serves as a bridge between field operations, engineering, and digital monitoring platforms to optimize asset performance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (The following duties and responsibilities are all essential job functions, as defined by the ADA, except for those that begin with the word "may")

  • Provides leadership and direction for the Remote Operations Center (ROC), establishing monitoring strategies, escalation protocols, and response standards.
  • Oversees remote technical support services to ensure timely and high quality assistance for field operations and customers.
  • Establishes and maintains processes for incident response, troubleshooting, and issue escalation across engineering and operations teams.
  • Drives the implementation of data analytics, reporting frameworks, and performance dashboards using AI predictive analytics.
  • Assists in developing AI predictive models utilizing engineering data and telemetric performance metrics.
  • Reviews and communicates fleet performance, reliability trends, and key operational metrics to senior leadership.
  • Leads root cause analysis (RCA) efforts and ensures the implementation of corrective and preventative actions fleet wide.
  • Collaborates with cross functional engineering and operations teams to prioritize and resolve systemic technical issues.
  • Defines and standardizes remote operations procedures, best practices, and governance frameworks.
  • Ensures coordination of service activities, including travel requirements and operator coverage logistics.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned to assist with successful operations and business continuity.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.
  • Successfully passes all applicable general pre employment testing including but not limited to: background check, pre employment drug screening, pre employment fit tests, pre employment aptitude and/or competency assessment(s).
  • Driverโ€™s License required. Employment is contingent upon meeting company driving standards, including an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) in accordance with Company policy.)

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE LEVEL

Required:

  • 10+ years of experience in power generation operations, product service engineering, or related industrial environments.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems (relays, transducers, sensors, and I/O architectures).
  • Understanding of industrial control platforms, including Woodward GAP, GE Proficy Machine Edition, Siemens S7, and Allen Bradley RSLogix.
  • Working knowledge of gas turbine packages (e.g., LM2500, LM6000, Reciprocating Engines).

Preferred:

  • 4 year technical degree in electrical, electronic, controls, or mechanical engineering.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, AND ABILITIES

  • Expertise in interpreting electrical and controls drawings for accuracy and alignment with field requirements.
  • Ability to set team priorities, delegate effectively, and manage workload distribution for operational deadlines.
  • Strong leadership skills for coaching and mentoring team members across varying experience levels.
  • Proficiency in managing cross functional communication between engineering, operations, and field service groups.
  • Experience driving a culture of accountability and continuous improvement within technical teams.
  • Knowledge of GE and other gas turbine related controls programs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Employee works indoors in an office setting, primarily sitting for extended periods at a desk station. The role requires keyboarding and repetitive motions with wrists, hands, and fingers. The Employee must speak clearly and audibly, and have the ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds (e.g., building alarms) from in person speech, telephone, or remote communication. While in the office, the Employee may be called upon to stand, kneel, push, pull, reach overhead, stoop, crouch, climb, and lift; therefore, the Employee should be able to independently lift 25 lbs. No adverse environmental conditions are expected.

Work hours may include or includes early morning, late evenings, and weekends, depending on business necessity.
