Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team—including psychiatrists, nurses, and addiction specialists—to coordinate integrated and holistic treatment for clients.
  • Conduct regular substance use monitoring and utilize motivational interviewing techniques to empower clients throughout their recovery journey.
  • Educate clients and their families on the relationship between mental health and substance use disorders, emphasizing the importance of treatment adherence.
  • Maintain meticulous and timely documentation of treatment progress, interventions, and referrals, adhering to ethical and legal standards.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development through case conferences, staff meetings, and specialized training sessions focused on co-occurring disorder treatment.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as either an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Arizona.
  • Strong proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic modalities for treating co-occurring disorders.
  • A deep understanding of the complex interactions between mental health issues and substance use disorders, along with the ability to implement integrated care solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an emphasis on effective collaboration within an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of 2 years of supervised clinical experience in mental health counseling, specifically including work with dual diagnosis clients.
