Located onsite at our Rehabilitation Center in Old Bridge, the work environment is dynamic and engaging. The physical therapist will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, offering a collaborative approach that enhances patient outcomes and supports a holistic strategy in rehabilitation.

The Orthopedic Physical Therapist will be responsible for:

• Conducting comprehensive evaluations of patients, including reviewing pertinent medical histories, performing specific assessments, and formulating tailored treatment plans based on evaluation findings.
• Effectively communicating evaluation results and the proposed treatment plan to patients and their families, ensuring they are actively involved in setting rehabilitation goals.
• Implementing treatment protocols with proficiency, adapting interventions according to the patient’s progress, needs, and the evolving healthcare landscape.
• Consulting with other healthcare providers and documenting significant changes in patient conditions that indicate a need for modification in care strategies.
• Managing discharge planning processes, ensuring transition of care is smooth and follows all documentation standards, including initial evaluations, daily progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Meeting productivity benchmarks while maintaining a structured schedule and participating in community outreach initiatives.
• Contributing to department goals by complying with accreditation standards and actively participating in staff meetings and training sessions.
• Pursuing continuous professional development, mentoring students and new staff, thereby fostering a culture of learning and growth.
• Enhancing the patient experience through excellent customer service, robust communication, and by identifying and overcoming barriers to care access.

This role primarily focuses on orthopedic patients, encompassing a wide range of conditions, from post-operative recovery to chronic pain management. Our clientele includes a diverse demographic, from active community members seeking rehabilitation to elderly patients requiring specialized therapeutic services. The physical therapist will play a crucial role in improving patient mobility, strength, and overall quality of life through tailored exercise programs and therapeutic interventions.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A valid state license to practice physical therapy in New Jersey.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with a compassionate approach to patient care.
• The desire to work collaboratively within a team and foster a positive organizational culture.

While prior experience is not required, candidates with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy and experience in orthopedic rehabilitation will be given preference. The position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and expertise.
