Position Overview:
Weโ€™re looking for a compassionate, dependable, and highly motivated Medical Receptionist/Medical Assistant to join our front office team. If youโ€™re friendly, detail-oriented, and genuinely care about making patients feel welcomed and supported, weโ€™d love to meet you. This role involves managing a wide range of administrative and clinical support tasks in our busy medical practice.
Key Responsibilities:
Medical Receptionistย 
  • Greet and check in patients in a friendly and professional manner
  • Answer and direct phone calls
  • Schedule appointments
  • Handle insurance verifications and prior authorization requests
  • Maintain and update patient records with accuracy and confidentiality
  • Perform general office duties such as scanning, and faxing documents
  • Coordinate with other staff to ensure smooth office operations
  • Strong Punctuality and attendance are a must
Medical Assistant
  • Greet patients and escort them to exam rooms.
  • Obtain and record vital signs (e.g., temperature, blood pressure, pulse, oxygen saturation) and update electronic health records (EHR).
  • Administer patient questionnaires and document responses.
  • Assist patients with completing necessary forms and paperwork.
  • Record patient data, including medications and medical history, in EHR.
  • Assist with scheduling appointments, tests, and procedures.
  • Support clinical staff during patient examinations and treatments.
Medical Assistant-Procedure Room
  • Prepare the patient for the procedure by positioning them comfortably and ensuring privacy
  • Help set up sterile fields, instruments, and equipment
  • Hold or assist with positioning medical instruments as directed
  • Ensure all necessary equipment is ready and functioning
  • Clean, sterilize, and maintain surgical instruments or tools
  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions or report issues to the appropriate personnel
  • Provide support and reassurance to patients before, during, and after procedures
  • Monitor the environment for cleanliness and disinfect surfaces and equipment
  • Ensure all equipment used is properly sterilized before and after use
  • Prepare the procedure room for the next patient, ensuring it is clean and well-organized
  • Schedule patient appointments for follow-up visits or future procedures
  • Answer patient inquiries, provide education on procedure details, and help resolve any concerns
  • Order medical supplies as needed and ensure the procedure room is properly stocked

Additional Responsibilities:
Willingness to cross-train and assist in various clerical and clinical support areas.
Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous medical office or receptionist experience preferred but not required
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems a plus
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
  • Strong attention to detail and customer service orientation
