Premier Health Wright State University Nursing Academy
Premier Health and Wright State University have partnered to create an academy for Wright State nursing students. This is an exciting opportunity for students to pursue their aspiration to become a Registered Nurse, to receive an education from an excellent nursing school, to be exposed to a real-life nursing community at Premier Health and to graduate without the typical college debt.
Benefits Of The Academy
Nursing students participating in the academy will gain real-world, hands-on experience to become practice ready upon graduation. Additionally, nursing students will have access to full-time tuition assistance, lowering or eliminating out-of-pocket tuition costs, allowing them to focus on their studies and experience. Wright State nursing students must join the Premier Health team in entry-level part-time position such as safety companion, home health aid, and patient care technician.
Program Benefits
  • Students in the Wright State Nursing Academy are eligible for up to $8,000 annually in tuition assistance from Premier Health.
  • When combined with Wright State University's merit and need-based scholarship programs along with federal and state financial aid, earning a degree in nursing becomes even more affordable.
  • Participants will gain hands-on experience to help them be practice-ready upon graduation.
  • Participants will have access to full-time employment at Premier Health after graduation.

Eligibility Requirements
• Participants must work part-time at Premier Health (24 hours per pay period) while attending Wright State University full-time as a nursing student (12 credit hours minimum)
• Participants must complete courses to receive tuition assistance from Premier Health
• Participants must be financially responsible for payment of any WSU educational fees not attributable to a completed course
• Participants must qualify for in-state tuition
• Participants must satisfy all Premier Health pre-employment requirements
To remain eligible for the program, participating nursing students must maintain good standing with employment at Premier Health.
*This position is not eligible for sponsorship for an employment visa, including H-1B and permanent residence. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future employer-sponsorship needs.
